Neoliberalismo, autoritarismo e desigualdade: o caso chileno.

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

The aim of this paper is to investigate the emergence of the neoliberal socio-political movement in Europe during the 1930s and analyze how its policies significantly shaped the structures of capital, state, and labor within the context of Pinochet's dictatorship in Chile, from 1973 to 1990. Additionally, it seeks to examine the long-term impacts of these policies on Chilean social fabric, aiming to understand how they continue to influence Chilean society in the subsequent decades. This work intends to contribute to a deeper understanding of the effects of neoliberalism at both national and international levels, as well as highlight relevant lessons and implications for contemporary economic theory and public policies.
