Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe research for new oil reserves has led the offshore industry to seek ways to adapt to the new types of environment: deep and ultra-deep waters. The demand for pipelines (rigid and / or flexible) meant that oil and gas companies not only invested in the production of equipment, but also in studies of new technologies. Therefore, with the oil industry going to ever deeper waters, the maritime structures are exposed to extreme loads, motivating the research for new solutions and proposed configurations for oil exploration/explotation. Among these new conceptions, we can highlight the rigid submarine jumper. At present, there is not yet a detailed literature for the analysis of rigid jumpers, nor a specific design norm, which makes the fatigue analysis of this type of structure often neglected, since many designers consider this structure with eminent behavior static. The objective of this thesis is a comparative study of the behavior of a subsea jumper submitted to a uniform current flow using the DNVGL-RP-F105 (2017) calculation by the response method and numerical and experimental analyzes of a subsea jumper model modeled in the current from the LOC (Waves and Currents Laboratory).
