Ensaios triaxiais de carga repetida de uma brita
Abstract
dc:description.abstractMeasurements related with repeated-load behaviour, on a crushed-stone aggregate, were made in a large triaxial cell on specimens 100 mm in diameter. Stresses were applied using a pneumatic loading sistem and axial strains were measured using two LVDT's mounted on the top cap. Permanent axial deformation was also observed with a dial gage attached to a devise fixed to the loading rod, out-side the triaxial cell. Measurements of axial repeated-load applied were made by means of a load cell screwed to loading rod. Testing program aimed to study the effect of applied stresses and maximum particle size on resilient deformations, and the effect of applied stresses and number of load applications on permanent deformations. A new model representing the resilient behaviour of crushed-stone aggregates, is proposed in order to improve pavements design and strengthen project methods.
