Aplicação do método dos elementos de contorno a problemas de potencial que envolvem geometria axissimétrica sujeitos a condições de contorno arbitrárias

This work presents a complete boundary element method for the solution of potential problems in wich axisymetric bodies are subjected to arbitrary boundary conditions. In the formulation followed, the boundary variables are developed in Fourier series with respect to the angular coordinate. This permits that a three-dimensional problem be reduced to a sequence of one-dimensional problems. In addition to the analytical formulation, it is presented the numerical procedure used to implement this formulation. Results for five applications show the accuracy of the method when compared to analytical solutions.
