O método dos elementos de contorno aplicado à propagação transiente tridimensional de ondas
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe boundary element method was applied to study wave propagation fenomena represented by scalar functions (potential). A FORTRAN computer code was developed to solve numerically the integral equation for three-dimensional scalar wave equation (Kirchhoff integral representation). The influence in the numerical solution of employing different time interpolation functions for boundary variables, and analisis of the best choice of time intervals concerning a boundary discretization was studied. Constant elements in space were employed and four numerical applications were carried out using the computer code developed.
