Abstract
dc:description.abstractA critical review of the main hydrologic parametric simulation models is presented, with emphasis on the Stanford, Texas, Kentucky, SSARR, COSSAR and MIT Models. The unsteady open channel flow equations (Saint-Vennant eqs) are subjected to a linearization process and then solved for both the unit pulse upstream and lateral input. A set of computer programs allows the calculation of the hydrograph relative to any point of the watershed. Tests were made to the Rio das Pedras Watershed in Guanabara State, with drainage area of 24.88 km2 and about 400.000 inhabitants.
