Eski Ahid'de ve Kur'an'da VSY kökünün semantik açıdan incelenmesi

The Rresearch of VSY Root From Semantic View in Old Testament and Qur'an, Doctorate Thesis, Advisor: Prof. Dr. Salih Akdemir, VIJ+329p. While the diachronic semantic research of VSY/ (^»j (TSaVa / H11J in the Hebrew language) root in holy texts which constitute divine inspiration tradition is made, it is seen that related root is used in the Old Testament and Qur'an but not used in the New Testament (Bibles). In the New Testament the root FeQaD is used in the meaning "to order". VSY/ (^-aj (TSaVa / Ti)^ in the Hebrew language) root has the basic meaning "to order" in both of the holy books. The fact that 473 of 475 versions in the Old Testament has the meaning "to order, order" reveals the first and basic meaning of the root is that. In addition to the fact that this basic meaning is placed in the Qur'an, becoming more special the root mostly means a person's wishes which should be fulfilled by his/lier inheritors after his/her death. This second meaning is also met in the verses of Old Testament. It is seen that versions of TSaVa / ill^ root is used 1 times in the second meaning in the Old Testament. While the usages in Qur'an are researched, it is seen that translaters of Qur'an translated this root as the last request of a dying person, altought it is used in the meaning "to order" and the doer of this action is God, himself. In Turkish, this word means one's telling or ordering his/lier inheritors what to do after his/her death. These translations can not be done on purpose. Such mistakes might be done as a result of a big carelessness and ignorance. However; whatever the reason is, telling that an immortal being tells his last request is unacceptable. Therefore translaters should correct these mistakes in the new /editions of the translations. In the thesis which is studied with a diachronic semantic method, these details are reached.
