Mobilność kulturowa w ramach międzywojennej sieci awangardy w Polsce, Belgii i Holandii

Tematem niniejszej pracy jest wzajemna mobilność kulturowa pomiędzy międzywojennymi ugrupowaniami awangardy literacko-artystycznej z Polski, Belgii i Holandii. Analiza i opis złożonej historii bezpośrednich relacji oraz procesów wymiany, absorbcji i adaptacji założeń programowych, estetycznych oraz artystycznych pomiędzy obranymi ośrodkami oparta została na korpusie badawczym, na który składają się polsko-, niderlandzko-, francusko- i niemieckojęzyczne czasopisma, publikacje i korespondencja, zebrane w kilkudziesięciu europejskich i amerykańskich archiwach. Jako studium przypadku modernistycznej mobilności kulturowej, przedstawiona tu rekonstrukcja i analiza dwukierunkowych procesów transferu i wymiany kulturowej dopełnia historiograficzny obraz relacji pomiędzy Polską a Niderlandami, w szczególności w obszarze międzywojennej awangardy literackiej, artystycznej i architektonicznej. Stanowiące podstawę korpusu badawczego przedmiotowej rozprawy czasopisma awangardowe (np. Zwrotnica, Blok, De Stijl, Het Overzicht czy 7 Arts) były podstawowym nośnikiem modernistycznych idei, które prezentowano w formie założeń programowych zawartych w manifestach i innych tekstach o charakterze krytyczno-literackim, a jednocześnie, i nierozerwalnie, pod postacią nowych rozwiązań formalno-estetycznych w malarstwie, rzeźbie i architekturze. This study is devoted to reciprocal cultural mobility between interwar literary and artistic avant-garde formations from Poland and the Low Countries. The analysis and description of the entangled history of direct relations and processes of exchange, appropriation and adaptation of programmatic, aesthetic and artistic concepts between the selected formations are based on a research corpus encompassing Polish-, Dutch-, French- and German-language periodicals, publications and correspondence gathered from numerous European and American archives. As a case study in modernist mobility, the reconstruction and analysis of reciprocal processes of cultural transfer and exchange proposed here supplements a historiography of mutual relationships between Poland and the Low Countries, in particular, when it comes to interwar literary, artistic and architectural avant-garde. Avant-garde periodicals which constitute the base of the research corpus of this study (e.g. Zwrotnica, Blok, De Stijl, Het Overzicht or 7 Arts) were the main medium for modernist ideas expressed in the form of programmatic principles put forward in manifestos and other writings, and inseparably as new aesthetic and formal solutions in painting, sculpture and architecture.
