Społeczności internetowe jako podmiot i przedmiot w procesie komunikowania politycznego

Abstract

With the advent of Web 2.0, Internet-based virtual communities have become fully-fledged collective actors in political communication. Their character in this process is by no means clear. In subjective sense, virtual communities act as creators of political discourse and they become more and more active, being a part of the public debate and comment a number of important social issues. At the same time they become the object of much interest to politicians, thus fulfilling the role of `the masses` in classical theories of communication. This diversity of roles causes these communication processes to move to virtual reality, where their classic structure is kept, but forms of expression are often changed.
