Pulsed Laser Deposition von Er:ZBLAN-Schichten für den Aufbau eines integrierten Wellenleiterlasers im grünen Spektralbereich

A production of laser active Er:ZBLAN thin films (1um) with pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on MgF2 substrates is presented in this dissertation. Er:ZBLAN films with low droplet density (<10 per 100x100um2) were produced with PLD for the first time. Optical properties (absorption- and emmision spectra, lifetime and damping) of the films in comparison to the targets have been investigated.Er:ZBLAN films were produced for the construction of an integrated planar upconversion waveguide laser (from 973-975nm into 520-550nm).
