Bestimmung chemischer Aktivitäten in Werkstoffen von Hochtemperaturbrennstoffzellen (SOFC) durch massenspektrometrische Verdampfungsuntersuchungen
Abstract
dc:descriptionZrO2 –based ceramics and LaGaO3-based perovskites can be used as a ceramic electrolyte for the solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). The stability of the used materials has to be guaranteed at the operating temperatures up to 800° C and under both reducing and oxidizing condition. Knowledge on the vaporization, the thermochemical data, and the phase diagrams involving the used perovskites is, therefore, of interest. These data are also necessary for the development of the optimal fabrication process of SOFC. Vaporization studies by Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry and phase diagram studies were carried out for the determination of the missing data. Phase diagrams of the systems La2O3-Ga2O3-MgO, La2O3-SrO-Ga2O3-MgO, La2O3-SrO-Ga2O3 were experimentally determined. Thermodynamic activities of the oxide components at 1600, 1700 and 1800 K resulted for the mentioned systems as well as for La2O3-SrO-Ga2O3-MgO-MexOy (Me= Al, Ni, Co), La2O3-Al2O3-Ga2O3 and YSZ-MnxOy. Gibbs free energies of formation of the LaGa1-xAlxO3 phase were determined as well. Thermochemical computations were carried out in order to determine the gallium vaporization from the oxide electrolyte in an H2/H2O atmosphere at 1073 K for the different H2O fraction.
