Differentialgeometrische Extraktion von 3D-Objektprimitiven aus terrestrischen Laserscannerdaten

Abstract

dc:description

For as-build-documentation and planning of structural facilities the knowledge of the existing object geometry is of great importance. Object geometry is needed in models used in digital planning and/or documentation systems. Such models base on a limited number of geometrical primitives. They represent edges, surfaces and/or volume elements of the real world objects. For mass data collection today terrestrial laserscanners are predestinated. The visible parts, the surfaces of the real world objects are measurable. Surfaces can be described mathematically locally by the help of differential geometry. In this work a concept for the automatical extraction of geometric primitives from terrestrial scanner data, based on the methods of the discrete differential geometry, is introduced. For the determination of parameters of geometric primitives the adjustment method is used. Possibilities for the combination with the photogrammetric evaluation and for the subsequent treatment of the extracted primitives by use of CAD-functionalities are presented. The practice fitness and prototyping success is shown on the basis of an extensive project.
