Verbrennungsgeräusch des direkteinspritzenden Hubkolbenmotors

Abstract

dc:description

Noise radiated by a piston engine can be divided into mechanical noise which depends mainly on engine speed, and combustion noise which is influenced by load and the boundary conditions of the combustion process, respectively. Within this thesis, a new model for the excitation of different combustion noise shares was established which distinguishes between gas force dependent and torsional force dependent shares. Based on this model, a new method was elaborated for the analysis and prediction of combustion noise. Flow noise radiated by the intake system was also included into the analysis. This technique facilitates the prediction of all combustion noise shares from measurements obtained on the combustion process test bench given that the structure transmission behavior is known. The application and verification of the procedure were performed on a direct injection gasoline and diesel engine, respectively. The difference between measured and predicted engine noise levels amounted to less than 1 dB(A) in most cases, at worst it amounted to 2 dB(A).
