Charakterisierung und Kausalitätsanalyse von Atemwegserkrankungen bei Mitarbeitern einer Viskosespinnerei

Several workers of a rayon factory suffered from airway diseases which were possibly related to occupational causes. This study compares the medical reports concerning these cases and balances private and occupational risks. It shows that in this factory adverse working conditions might be the reason for a chronic obstructive airway disease. An early detection system for respiratory symptoms should be implemented; procedures of risk reduction are recommended.
