Modellierung thermomechanischer Prozesse in porösen Medien
Abstract
dc:descriptionThis thesis presents a concept for the modeling of the thermo-mechanical behaviour of fluid-filled metal foams. It closes the gap between a pure mechanical and a pure thermal approach. Emphasis is payed to the description of the main thermo-mechanical coupling effects within each constituent and the mechanical and thermal interaction between the phases of the porous medium. The model is based on the macroscopic theory of porous media. The porous medium consists of a ductile, metallic solid skeleton. It is filled with an ideal gas. For both constituents different temperatures are taken into account. This leads to an exchange of momentum and an exchange of thermal energy. The numerical implementation makes use of a newly developed displacement-pressure-temperature formulation. Several numerical studies show the correctness and the applicability of the model.
