Steigerung der Informationsqualität auf elektronischen Marktplätzen für betriebliche Informationssysteme

Since the last years existing chains of value creation have been changed by electronic market places more and more frequently. Besides conventional markets there are developing global electronic markets, on which a large number of commercial transactions are completed independently of a particular place. Many failures and negative development prognoses of operators of active electronic market places can be determined. This fact indicates fundamental conceptional faults in the transfer of commercial transactions into the new medium. In this paper electronic market places for the selection support of operational information systems have been thoroughly investigated. The investigation resulted in that the customer discontent is to be attributed in all cases to quality faults of the information. Many electronic market places fail, because during the conversion to the new medium the safety device of the information quality is not sufficiently integrated into the business processes. The goal of the available thesis is it to develop a procedure which improves the information quality of intermediate services over electronic market places. The higher data quality is then to be kept on a constantly high level. The fundamentals of the discussed issue are presented on the basis of detailed analysis of current literature. Existing findings and solutions concerning the problem of making possible the selection of products via electronic market places are analysed at this stage. Within these approaches the author determines certain deficits from which he derives need of action. The objects of organisation of the procedure which is to be developed are processes, that serve the reception, the treatment and the retrieval of information on electronic market places. They are to be systematically extended by quality-increasing elements. As a basis for further research Mr. Kampker first empirically and deductively derives the initial stages for conceptual development. For the organisation of the procedure the system „electronic market place” is taken apart into subsystems up to the level of data records. This is followed by an analysis of the subordinated systems according to introspective methods. The structure is determined of data quality automatic control loops on subsystem level as goal-prominent procedure beginning The first chapters are empirically and inductively developed based on a three-divided reference model of an electronic market place. In the further process of the work Mr. Kampker develops a procedure analytically deductive. The necessary elements for an automatic control loop can be assigned to all subsystems on data record level with the help of a procedure component during an iterative allocation process. A second procedure component is used for the evaluation of determined automatic control loops. To all process steps a methodical support is present, which is documented accordingly In the following chapters Mr. Kampker documents the process steps and describes the procedure employment on the basis of an example scenario. The Validating of the procedure takes place empirically and inductively in form of a direct validating. Data basis is thereby a data base maintained at „Forschungsinstitut für Rationalisierung”. The data base contains data of the years 1986 untill 2002. In addition, Mr Kampker carries out a complete configuration and implementation of the developed procedure. This part of evaluation is followed by the usage of the procedure with the data of the test data base. The proven data quality increases of the test data allow a positive valuation of the procedure.
