Methodik zur Angebotspreisbildung, am Beispiel des Werkzeug- und Formenbaus

Abstract

dc:description

Objective of this doctoral thesis is the development of a price formation methodology in the quotation phase. Considering existing research work and on basis of an analytical deductive approach this doctoral thesis was structured as follows. Starting with the analysis of existing methods for price formation a methodology concept was build. The next chapters focus on the development of identified partial methods their integration and the validation of the methodology as a whole. Analysing state of the art methods, requirements for this specific topic are defined and a concept for the price formation methodology is developed. This methodology can be divided into the partial methods price identification, price determination, price argumentation and price formation. For the development and integration of the partial methods and their application logical data models on basis of the international standard ISO 10303-11 (EXPRESS) were specified. The method price identification consists of a developed cost model for activity based costing. As a result total production cost for a new and customer specific product in the tool and die making industry are calculated. Therefore especially the complexity of the tool or die, the resulting part and the production process are taken into consideration. The company objectives of the supplier and customer are represented in a data model for objectives. The method price determination is based on a comparison of the performance offered by the supplier and the performance of main competitors. The performance is evaluated from the customer's point of view. Customer's demands were used to identify relevant performance elements. A performance oriented target price analysis and synthesis is used to calculate the market price for a (new) product to be offered. The method price argumentation is core element to identify optimisation potentials across the whole process chain of tool and die making and mass production. To allow and ease the identification of topics relevant for price argumentation a generic effect model for the integration of tool an die making and mass production was developed. This model was validated for tool and die maker's on schema and instance level. The method price formation sums up the results of the three described methods and converts them into a coherent quoted price. Therefore methods for multiple attribute decision making are used. Finally the developed partial methods were integrated within a price formation methodology. Therefore the necessary procedures for the methodology usage were defined. The whole methodology is based on an integrated data model covering product, process, resource and project information. This data model is a powerful base for quotation submission and the down stream activities e.g. order processing. Finally the methodology was verified in case studies for the tool and die making industry.
