Der Einsatz von Individualschablonen bei der Dreifach-Beckenosteotomie

dc:descriptionThe present study contains clinical and radiological follow-up examinations of 27 patients treated between 1992 and 1998 who suffered from a dysplastic hip joint. The chosen operation method was the triple osteotomy of the pelvic bone in all cases. 8 of the patients were operated on both sides during the observation period which results in a total number of 35 interventions examined in the present study. 15 interventions were performed using a preoperatively constructed individual template for the iliacal osteotomy whereas 20 interventions were executed without templates. The aim of this study is to compare the postoperative results of the triple osteotomy with and without the use of templates. The clinical follow-ups are evaluated by the Harris-Hip- and the Merle d'Aubigné-Score. The radiological examination contains an ap- and a faux profile x-ray projection and the measurement of the anterior center edge and lateral center edge angle. The system of the individual templates was developed jointly with the Helmholtz Institute of Aachen. The bone surface is scanned by a computed tomography and transferred via the planning system DISOS to a cubic block of polycarbonate, which is milled to become the individual template. During the intervention the template serves as spatial orientation and as a cutting tool-guide for the setting of the osteotomies. The studies show a significant decrease of operation time and intraoperative x-ray time when individual templates are used during the operation.
